Why should I choose dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are quick, easy, and effective at helping patients achieve a more youthful appearance. With instant results, and nearly no recovery time, dermal fillers can last anywhere from 6 months to over 2 years, depending on the type you choose. But what are they? Dermal fillers are gel-like substances that are injected under the skin to help restore lost volume, smooth creases, and minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, so you can look as young as you feel.
Juvéderm products utilize hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance already found in your skin, to help keep your face plump and hydrated.

The Dermal Fillers Treatment Process
You’ll sit down for a consultation with your Mission Viejo dentist to discuss your aesthetic goals and your medical history. It’s important to disclose any medications you’re taking, as well as any allergies, skin conditions, or neurological conditions you may have. Your doctor will help you decide if dermal fillers are right for you, and what type of filler will best suit your needs.
Before performing the injections, your skin will be cleaned and sanitized, and may be numbed with a local anesthetic. Many filler products are formulated with lidocaine, another mild anesthetic, to help minimize any discomfort during treatment.
Injections & Aftercare
Your doctor will proceed to strategically inject precise amounts of filler beneath the skin. You may experience some mild bruising or swelling after the procedure, but it should subside in a few days. You can resume your daily routine immediately following your treatment. However, your doctor may suggest you avoid exercise and keep your head upright for a day or two.
